The Cabinet Card offered here is a later, larger format, unretouched or embellished photograph of the CDV issued by Mathew Brady February 27, 1860 the day of the famous speech. The photo carries the mark of “Stalee National Portrait Studio of Washington, D.C.” and was produced sometime around 1890. About 3 ¾” x 5 ½” with card mount to an overall size of 4 ¼” x 6 ½”. Nice condition. First we have offered. Photographer’s markings front and reverse. On front someone long ago has crossed the name and inserted Brady in pencil.
