About 14” x 8 ¼” with 4 pages folded. Printed by Thomas Green and actually gives a location which sounds like a pub or rooming house or even both. Number is the first edition of the publication. The Hartford Courant is the largest daily newspaper in the state of Connecticut, and is often recognized as the oldest continuously published newspaper in the United States. The Connecticut Courant began as a weekly on October 29, 1764, started by Thomas Green. Great shape with a few small edge chips and splits and one split at the fold present on all pages which is about 1 ½” long but easily managed. Rare.

SPECIAL NOTE: It has come to our attention that this is a reissued copy of the original paper (date unknown). we are thankful we were lead to the reference which verified this information. Please act accordingly.
